Room 114, Hotel Campanile Berthier Clichy, Paris
You'll find you can-can.
Everyone can cancan --
You can cancan too!"
*Proof of how many times I've watched Anastasia!*
We arrived at our hotel extremely late yesterday evening, due to the heavy traffic (which is actually normal) in Paris. So we had less than half an hour to change and have dinner before leaving for optional excursion #7: "Cabaret Show".
After the world's fastest cup noodle dinner, we drove through the darkening city centre to the bright lights and plush red interior of the Paradis Latin.

Photos and videos were banned inside the place, so we just headed to the upstairs gallery, where there was a long table running along its perimeter, overlooking the stage and the other diners below.
We were each poured a glass of champagne, before the stage lights came on and the show began.
The next 1.5 hours were filled with dancing - even topless dancing - and singing in French. There were performances showing the evolution of dance in the 20th century, as well as some dances in older period costumes - and of course the cancan! Then there was a crazy aerial performance, and even the lighting was amazing - at one point the lights went on and off at dizzying speed to give the impression of flickering images on an old film.
The show ended in a shower of white paper hearts and Paradis Latin balloons. Then we boarded our coach again and got a nice brief tour of Paris at night before returning to our hotel at nearly midnight.
